In
the heart of the Condado
El Canario's Restaurants
Well,
they're not really 'our' restaurants - since none of the El Canario
Hotels have 'on-site' restaurants - other than the breakfast rooms and
courtyards that we use for our complementary tropical breakfasts each
morning.
However,
we do have some of the best restaurants in San Juan just a few steps
from each hotel. Just ask the front desk manager at any of our hotels
for recommendations and you're sure to have a great dining experience
whether you choose fast food, local Creole cooking, ethnic foods from
all over the world or some of the most elegant fine dining in the
Caribbean!
There
are also 'mini-markets', or as we call them, "Bodega's" near
each hotel where you can get sodas, liquors, snacks, sandwiches,
newspapers and
local take-out food.

 Near
Canario by the Sea is a 24 hour Walgreens which has a very complete
mini-mart section at the back. No liquor, but there are other
stores nearby. |
 Across
from Canario Inn is Salud Health Store for those who prefer vegetarian
fare... also check out Eros Bodega for regular food items. |

 Ajili
Mojili is perhaps the most elegant restaurant featuring traditional
Puerto Rican specialties. Right on the Lagoon! |
 Great
Taste Chinese Restaurant is considered by many to be the best 'New
York Style' Chinese food in San Juan. Dim Sum served every day! |
Chili's is on Ashford Avenue past the
Canario by the Lagoon. |

Sol y Luna is a great place to people
watch in the new 'Ventana al Mar' park near Canario by the Lagoon. |
Cielito Lindo is just off the small park
across from the new La Concha hotel. Great Mexican food! Between
Canario by the Lagoon and Canario by the Sea. |
Between Island Breeze and the Post
Office - Ramiros is one of the finest restaurants in San Juan.
Expensive - but a memorable experience! |

reasonably priced Puerto Rican Food and Juice Bar at 'Cafe de Angel'. |
 Don't
forget that even though you're away from home, you can still check
your email and grab a coffee at Cybernet Cafe... |

Ashford Avenue between Canario by the
Sea and Canario by the Lagoon features fast food restaurants like
Wendy's and Subway plus Pure and Natural health food restaurant. |
Baskin Robbins also has Dunkin Donuts in
the same store, right across from the other fast food outlets on
Ashford Avenue |
Just past the Canario Inn is a block
that is full of restaurants including Italian, American, Mexican and
International! |

Hours a day you can find Caribbean Cuisine at the Latin Star. Nest to
Walgreens - its just a block from Canario by the Sea but an easy
walk from all the hotels. |

just down the street from Canario by the Sea. |

The Marriott Resort is between Canario
by the Sea and Canario Inn with several great restaurants including

and sandwiches! |

Canario by the Lagoon, a one night deposit is charged at booking, refundable if
reservation is canceled four or more days in advance. At El Canario Inn and El
Canario by the Sea, credit card holds room, but is not charged in advance unless
for a one night penalty should you cancel less than four days before arrival or
fail to show.
Upon check in, you will be required to provide your credit
card and authorized cardholder signature
or you may pay total room charges with
travelers checks or US Cash.
